Apart from the attractive remuneration package, the successful candidate will also receive a start-up package of up to S$300,000, comprising $100,000 (for equipment, manpower, travel, etc.) and a S$200,000 scholarship to fund a graduate student (Ph.D.), for 4 years. The Division of Power Engineering invites outstanding applicants for tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in one or more areas of Clean and Renewable Energy Systems and Power Systems/Power Electronics. Clean and Renewable Energy Systems: Candidates in renewable energy research will be considered, although preference may be given to those with proven expertise in wind, tidal energy, solar PV, grid-integration and energy storage systems. Experience in electrical machine design or computational electromagnetics would be an added advantage. Power Systems/Power Electronics: Candidates with expertise in electrical transmission and distribution network technology and/or power converters for utility applications shall be considered. Experience in condition monitoring and protection would be an added advantage. Fresh Ph.D. graduates will be considered, although preference will be given to those with postdoctoral and/or relevant working experience in research institutions/universities/industry.
