Lecturer in Anatomy and Pathology

The School of Medical Sciences is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Lecturer in Anatomy and Pathology to teach in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, within an outstanding and professional multidisciplinary team environment. As the successful candidate you will be experienced in Neuroanatomy with demonstrated ability to teach into cross-disciplinary programs such as Medicine, Dentistry, Health Sciences and Science. You will also have a track publication record and be ready to pursue an active research program in an Anatomy/Pathology related field.
Position Requirements
  • A PhD in Anatomy/Pathology, or an MBBS with expertise in a related field;
  • Demonstrable expertise in the teaching of Neuroanatomy to health science, medicine, dentistry and/or science students;
  • Track record in research in an Anatomy/Pathology related field, including a publication track record;
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Experience in supervision of honours/masters/postgraduate students.

PhD Position in biophysics at Stockholm University in Sweden

This position is open for pursuing PhD degree level at Stockholm University in Sweden.

To be accepted as a PhD student, credits corresponding to four years of full-time studies at the undergraduate level are required, including credits corresponding to at least two years of full time studies in chemistry, life sciences or physics, depending on the program. The credits should include courses at the advanced level (second cycle) corresponding to one year and of this one semester should be a degree thesis. In order to facilitate the evaluation of merits and suitability for the PhD studies the curriculum vitae (CV) should contain information about the extent and focus of the academic studies. The quantity (as part of an academic year) and the quality mark of courses in chemistry and physics are of particular interest. The title, number of credits and the length in full-time months of undergraduate thesis and project work should be specified.

The duration of the PhD position is maximum four years.

 it cover? Economic support is guaranteed during the agreed time in the individual study syllabus (study plan) for the PhD studies. The department may request that the graduate student takes part in teaching or other departmental work in an activity additional to the graduate studies for up to 20% of the full work time. The PhD positions are open for international students on equal terms. No tuition fee is charged.


Selection Criteria: The selection among applicants will be based on the assessment of their capacity to successfully complete the PhD program. In practical terms, this means that the study merits will be the main selection criterion. The local study merits, such as passed advanced courses or project work in the department, will be given a relatively high weight. Equal opportunity aspects between men and women will be given a certain weight.

Fellowship Plan are awarded by the Malaysian Government

The Malaysian Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan are awarded by the Malaysian Government to the nominated students from the Commonwealth countries to study at the post-graduate level in Malaysia. This is a Government to Government scheme without any bond imposed by Malaysia. The awards for Master’s degree are between 12 to 24 months depending on the courses. Awards for pursuing PhD degree are for 3 years. The Awards are only applicable for candidates pursuing full-time degree programme in Malaysia.
