Lecturer in Anatomy and Pathology
The School of Medical Sciences is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Lecturer in Anatomy and Pathology to teach in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, within an outstanding and professional multidisciplinary team environment. As the successful candidate you will be experienced in Neuroanatomy with demonstrated ability to teach into cross-disciplinary programs such as Medicine, Dentistry, Health Sciences and Science. You will also have a track publication record and be ready to pursue an active research program in an Anatomy/Pathology related field.
Position Requirements
- A PhD in Anatomy/Pathology, or an MBBS with expertise in a related field;
- Demonstrable expertise in the teaching of Neuroanatomy to health science, medicine, dentistry and/or science students;
- Track record in research in an Anatomy/Pathology related field, including a publication track record;
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment;
- Excellent communication skills;

PhD Position in biophysics at Stockholm University in Sweden
This position is open for pursuing PhD degree level at Stockholm University in Sweden.
To be accepted as a PhD student, credits corresponding to four years of full-time studies at the undergraduate level are required, including credits corresponding to at least two years of full time studies in chemistry, life sciences or physics, depending on the program. The credits should include courses at the advanced level (second cycle) corresponding to one year and of this one semester should be a degree thesis. In order to facilitate the evaluation of merits and suitability for the PhD studies the curriculum vitae (CV) should contain information about the extent and focus of the academic studies. The quantity (as part of an academic year) and the quality mark of courses in chemistry and physics are of particular interest. The title, number of credits and the length in full-time months of undergraduate thesis and project work should be specified.
The duration of the PhD position is maximum four years.

Fellowship Plan are awarded by the Malaysian Government
The Malaysian Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan are awarded by the Malaysian Government to the nominated students from the Commonwealth countries to study at the post-graduate level in Malaysia. This is a Government to Government scheme without any bond imposed by Malaysia. The awards for Master’s degree are between 12 to 24 months depending on the courses. Awards for pursuing PhD degree are for 3 years. The Awards are only applicable for candidates pursuing full-time degree programme in Malaysia.

Asutralia Fellowship for PhD and Master
The IPRS award provides for the full cost of tuition and overseas student health cover. The award may not provide for other fees charged by the University from time to time.
UWS also provides a living allowance - A$24,653 per annum in 2013 - indexed annually and paid fortnightly.
Tenure
The tenure of both the award and the living allowance is three years for doctoral candidates and two years for Masters Honours (research masters) candidates.
Eligibility
Students from any overseas country, except New Zealand, who are commencing a new research degree course and do not already hold an equivalent degree are eligible to apply. Applicants for coursework awards are not eligible to apply, even where there is a research component in the degree. Students who have already commenced their research degree may not be eligible.
Current AusAID students are ineligible.

Post Doc Position in Australia
An established research group within The Australian School of Advanced Medicine (ASAM), Macquarie University is seeking to appoint a talented early career postdoctoral researcher to investigate host targets as novel therapies for malaria infection. The successful applicant will join the Host Genetics and Host Response to Malaria Group at ASAM, and will be working in the fields of host-parasite interactions and novel malaria therapeutics.
This position will work within an NHMRC-funded study investigating host cell haem synthetic enzymes and their suitability as antimalarial targets. The work will involve genetic manipulation of haem enzyme genes in the P. falciparum parasite, investigating the parasite growth kinetics in cells collected from individuals with haem enzyme deficiencies, studying the host response to infection in murine models of malaria infection and analysing data and samples collected from Phase IIB clinical trials of a drug that inhibits a host heam enzyme. The successful candidate is expected to publish his/her research results and present at scientific conferences. The position is for two years initially with a possibility of extension.
