Post Doc Position in Optical Imaging

JOB SUMMARY postdoc research fellow to carry out the investigation of super-resolution optical imaging. The target of this research project is to apply advanced optical tools and develop sub-50nm super-resolution imaging in ambient air. The research project involves: (1) design the optical component with super-resolution imaging probability through numerical simulation and (2) couple the designed component with the microscope to visualize the nano-object under 50 nm.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, Materials and related disciplines are invited to apply to fill the post-doctoral position.  The team seeks a creative, motivated and well-organized individual who is ready to meet the challenges of a highly multidisciplinary and multifaceted experimental project and who will work productively both independently and with others.
The successful candidate will work with Dr. Chen Zaichun, Singapore University of Technology and Design, and in close collaboration with Laser Microprocessing Lab, National University of Singapore. Knowledge of optical instrumentation and system design, hands-on experimental expertise is required. The candidate is expected to be able to use numerical simulation software, such as Lumerical FDTD.
Interested candidates please send a CV to Dr. Chen Zaichun. >>>herman_chen@sutd.edu.sg

Postdoctoral Research Fellowship University of Western Sydney

The Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment at the University of Western Sydney conducts fundamental and applied research in a range of areas that include plant and animal biology, pant-animal and plant-soil interactions, soil microbial ecology, genomics and bioinformatics, ecosystem function and climate change biology.
Web: www.uws.edu.au/hawkesburyinstitute

The Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment (HIE) is seeking to appoint an energetic academic to a Level A position in the HIE. This full-time, Postdoctoral Research Fellowship is available for 2 years with the possibility of an extension thereafter, pending funding availability.

The successful applicant will focus on research related to a grant from the NSW Environmental Trust entitled “Psyllid-induced dieback of Grey Box (Eucalyptus moluccana) on the Cumberland Plain”. The grant addresses the important question of whether the extensive fragmentation and reduction of the Cumberland Plain Woodlands has resulted in a loss of genetic and chemical diversity of the dominating tree species, Eucalyptus moluccana. Discovering this genetic and chemical diversity is crucial to understanding their role in the chronic area-wide defoliation of Eucalyptus moluccana in the critically endangered Cumberland Plain Woodlands. The results will inform future conservation efforts and strategies.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level A (Step 3-4) $91,289 to $96,851 p.a (comprising Salary $77,140 to $81,840 p.a. plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading)
